Workshop Highlights

The moments that shaped the three days

Workshop discussionUpdated 31 Oct 2026

A short editorial record of what the workshop actually turned on: the working moments that changed a decision, a draft or a shared understanding.

Highlights#

Narrative highlights pending

The facilitator team adds the narrative for each highlight after the workshop. The structure is ready and each card links to the session record it belongs to.

01

The map review becomes the centre of the day#

The conservation session spent most of its learning allocation cross-checking the villages' own drawings against spatial function and permit requirements — not on general mangrove ecology.

02

Two villages, two registers, one method#

Sugian and Seruni Mumbul worked through the same SOP template separately, so each village keeps its own decision instead of inheriting the other's.

03

The allocation proposal gets a number, and an open question#

Sugian produced a 40/15/30/15 proposal — and left the final 15 per cent explicitly unresolved rather than inventing a purpose for it.

04

Safety is written as a procedure, not a briefing#

The water rescue session produced the input for an emergency response procedure with a clear sequence and a defined duty holder.

05

Budgeting starts from cost, not from hope#

The finance session worked forward from operating and maintenance costs to a surplus, instead of starting with a percentage to divide.

06

The simulation is where the drafts meet reality#

The closing session tested the SOPs against scripted operating problems and a musyawarah step, and revised what did not survive.
